The Workers' International Industrial Union has formulated a plan for building the union and bringing workers together across the country and the world.

Embarking on any journey, the first step must be taken. That is preparation. In the case of the Workers International Industrial Union (WIIU), the destination, goal, of its journey is establishing a workers union that embraces all workers. WIIU begins with not much more than a purpose and a handful of workers who are class conscious and see the need for that goal. Its preparation demands that all individuals participate in much as they are able. Without that coordinated effort, the goal can never be reached. On that basis, the WIIU is proceeding one step at a time. For the first stage of the WIIU's development, the union advocates that workers start by organizing Solidarity Groups. These Solidarity Groups will be the fundamental building blocks of the union.

A Solidarity Group is made up of two or more workers in a state, or a city etc. These workers will be expected to coordinate their efforts in promoting industrial unionism to the working class. Once ten or more workers sign on in a city, town or locality a Local Recruiting Union (LRU) can be formed. Those who are not located in the area where the LRU was formed may remain part of the Solidarity Group until there are enough workers in his or her area to form a LRU.

The mission of the Solidarity Group:

Use every opportunity to spread the word to fellow workers about Socialist Industrial Unionism

Create a local website with contact information for their state or locality.

Coordinate efforts among members to attend protests, rallies, political meetings and distribute WIIU literature and recruit as many workers as possible to join the movement.

In effect, the Solidarity Group will function as organizers for the WIIU, until such time as the union is able to field paid organizers to build the union.

This is a logical starting point for the WIIU to start down the path to ending wage slavery. Once we have a Solidarity Group in each state we can begin the real task of organizing the working class.
